With this Project, I aim to explore the complex dynamics and challenges that characterize self-organizing practices, documenting what I perceive as an individual's need to reconnect and defend what is considered a common good.

I began this project by documenting the efforts of activists from Apuane Libere, a small but determined organization fighting to protect the fragile ecosystem of the Apuan Alps in Tuscany, Italy. Their mission is to safeguard the region’s rich biodiversity and ultimately push for the closure of marble quarries within the Apuan National Park. This area faces an alarming crisis, multinational corporations, driven by profit, are relentlessly carving away at these mountains, reducing them to mere resources for extraction.
